After School Daycare Program

Our After-School Daycare program offers a warm, engaging on-campus experience for children after the school day ends at 3:00 PM.
Starting during the 2025-26 school year, all toddlers through sixth graders can participate in CEE’s optional After-School Daycare program until 5:00 PM (Toddlers) or 6:00 PM (EC1-C6) each day.

Daycare Experience

Early Childhood Daycare takes place in our Early Childhood play spaces where children participate in outside play, stories, art activities, collaborative activities, and games, all in a nurturing, age-appropriate environment.

Elementary Daycare is a special mixed-age experience with a dedicated classroom hub that includes art supplies, board games, and building materials. Additionally, the Elementary Daycare program utilizes the Library for reading and homework and the Field and Plaza for active games. You can also often find a group of children with Daycare teachers in the Gym or Community Center, cheering on the home team in athletics games!

Daycare Staff

Our Daycare teachers are full-time Instructional Support Teachers at The Center. These talented staff members are an important part of our school community. They participate in professional development and spend school hours supporting teaching and learning in classrooms around campus; they know and are known by the children they see after school.

Drop-In After-School Daycare Program & Hourly Fee

Families do not need to sign up for After-School Daycare in advance. Families often let teachers know their typical afterschool plan, but the program works so that any child not picked up by the end of the school day pickup window will be checked into the Daycare program.

Daycare is charged hourly ($10 per hour in 2024-25), and financial aid inclusion grants apply to the Daycare program at the same percentage as the tuition grant amount.
The Center for Early Education, a socio-economically and culturally diverse independent school for children, toddlers through grade six, strives to graduate students who are joyful, resilient, lifelong learners. The Center embraces a philosophy of education that combines a nurturing, inclusive learning environment with an increasingly challenging academic program that addresses the developmental needs of each child.
