Katrina Lappin

Director of Admissions
Katrina joined The Center in 2019, following more than a decade at Redwood Day in Oakland, where she served as the Director of Admissions & Tuition Assistance. Katrina holds a deep respect for the education of young children and values the time she has spent assisting teaching and learning in preschool classrooms. Katrina loves working with families from their earliest years and believes that strong admissions experiences depend on alignment with the school mission, clear communication, and respectful appreciation for each child and family. In addition, Katrina enjoys working with colleagues whether it is as a member of the LAIS Steering Committee or presenting on topics related to admissions and financial aid at local and national conferences. Katrina holds a BA from UC Santa Barbara in Political Science/International Relations and an MA from San Francisco State University in Political Science. She is the parent of two children and finds so much joy in growing up as a family within the community.
